Affirmations for not knowing if this works
Wanting to know is fair. Knowing was never on the table.
The mind treats "I do not know" as an emergency and starts producing answers to shut it down. With no information to work from, what it produces are guesses wearing the clothes of predictions — usually pessimistic ones, usually at night. That is most of what business uncertainty feels like from the inside.
The awkward part is that the uncertainty here is structural, not temporary. You are not waiting for a fog to lift before the real work starts. Not knowing whether it holds is a permanent feature of the arrangement, and the people who look settled about it mostly narrowed their horizon rather than resolved anything. They stopped asking about the year and started asking about the fortnight.
That is what these sentences do. They shrink the question to a size that has an answer: what is true today, what you already know how to do tomorrow morning, what you would actually need to learn before the decision changes. Changing the plan gets separated from having been wrong, since the plan was a guess when you wrote it.
What is not here is reassurance about the outcome. Anyone telling you it will work out is guessing with more confidence than you, not more information.

Questions
How do I cope with not knowing if my business will work?
Stop asking the question in its unanswerable form. "Will this work" has no available answer, so the mind loops on it forever; "what do I do Tuesday" does. Narrowing the horizon to a fortnight is not denial, it is matching the question to the information you actually have.
Why do these sound different from most affirmations for founders?
Most of them are motivational lines dressed as self-talk — built different, no days off, the grind is the reward. They assume the problem is that you want it less than someone else. Usually the problem is load, not appetite. Ours are written to be said out loud by a tired adult without wincing.
How often should I read them?
Once, properly, beats twenty times while scrolling. Most people find two or three that land and keep returning to those. Ballast sends one a day and then stops.
