Affirmations for feeling like a fraud
You have been doing the work anyway, and it has been getting done.
The feeling has a recognizable script: everyone else knows something you were never taught, your results so far were luck or timing, and at some point a competent person will notice. It survives contact with evidence remarkably well. People produce good work for years while privately holding all three beliefs, because the feeling does not consult the record.
One thing that helps is knowing that confidence and competence are acquired separately, and not in that order. Competence comes from doing the thing badly and then less badly. Confidence tends to arrive years later, if at all. The people who look certain in the meeting are not more certain — most of them simply stopped saying the doubt out loud somewhere around year three.
These lines are written to be usable while the feeling is still present, rather than trying to argue it away. They point at what is checkable: the work held up, you learned this by doing it, people ask you things now. And they lower the bar for what you need to feel in order to act. You do not have to feel like an expert to answer the question in front of you.
You will not find anything here about owning the room. Performed confidence is exhausting and mostly convinces nobody, including you.

Questions
How do I work through imposter syndrome without faking confidence?
Separate the feeling from the decision. The feeling is allowed to stay; the question is only whether you can answer what is in front of you, and you usually can. Saying "I do not know that yet" out loud helps more than performing certainty — it is what experienced people actually say.
Why do these sound different from most affirmations for founders?
Most of them are motivational lines dressed as self-talk — built different, no days off, the grind is the reward. They assume the problem is that you want it less than someone else. Usually the problem is load, not appetite. Ours are written to be said out loud by a tired adult without wincing.
How often should I read them?
Once, properly, beats twenty times while scrolling. Most people find two or three that land and keep returning to those. Ballast sends one a day and then stops.
