Affirmations for putting your work out
It is not finished. Finished is not a state this arrives at.
The last stretch before releasing something has a distinctive symptom: you spend the morning refining a detail no one will ever notice. It feels like diligence. It is fear with a to-do list attached, and it is how people lose months to work that was ready in week two. Another week rarely makes it better. It reliably makes it later.
It helps to be specific about what you are actually afraid of, because the imagined disaster and the realistic one are different. The realistic worst case, almost every time, is that nobody notices. That is disappointing and entirely survivable, and it is much smaller than the public humiliation your mind has been rehearsing. Bugs will turn up too, which is not a failure of preparation — finding them is a large part of what releasing it is for.
These sentences are written for the hour around the button. Several of them remove the ceremony: you can put it out quietly, on an ordinary Tuesday, with no announcement. Others deal with the fact that nervous does not get a veto. Waiting to feel confident first is not a plan, because confidence is generally something that shows up afterward.
And one is for the evening after, when the urge to pull it back arrives. You can hold off until morning and see whether you still want to.

Questions
How do I launch something when I am afraid it is not ready?
Name the realistic worst case rather than the imagined one. Usually it is that nobody notices, which is a survivable week rather than a catastrophe. If you are polishing details no user will see, that is the signal — the remaining work is fear, not craft.
Why do these sound different from most affirmations for founders?
Most of them are motivational lines dressed as self-talk — built different, no days off, the grind is the reward. They assume the problem is that you want it less than someone else. Usually the problem is load, not appetite. Ours are written to be said out loud by a tired adult without wincing.
How often should I read them?
Once, properly, beats twenty times while scrolling. Most people find two or three that land and keep returning to those. Ballast sends one a day and then stops.
